As a care home entertainer, I am sensitive to the needs of your residents and have a warm and approachable attitude. Professionalism is a priority; prompt arrival time and start time, minimum set up is needed and minimal disruption.
I play jazz, swing, show tunes and old familiar classics on saxophone accompanied by high-quality backing music. The usual performance time is 1 hour.
Audience participation is encouraged, sing-alongs
can be included and I provide the lyric sheets. Requests are also catered for.
I am home-counties and London based and will travel. Provide my own PA, speakers, microphones and live instrumentational backing tracks for the occasion - PAT tested and certifcated. I have public liability insurance.

Covid safety still in mind
Awareness is still part of the service at the performances, with wearing of masks before and after performance. Social distancing and I am full vacinated and as required can produce a test the day before the performance.
New report outlines the benefits of music to mental well being
It follows a one-year study by UK Music, which represents the collective interests of the sector, and Music for Dementia, the health and music campaign.
Among those consulted were charities, the Government and the health and social care sectors, as well as musicians, music therapists, people living with dementia and their carers.
Music for Dementia campaign director Grace Meadows said: “The pandemic has shown us how we urgently need to reimagine health and social care in the UK. Music has a critical role to play in this and while we’re committed to making this happen and one of our biggest challenges is that many people still don’t fully appreciate the power of music".
